Olive M (Weber) Kulbako

Schenectady - Olive M. Kulbako, 95, passed away peacefully at her residence at Kingsway Manor on June 14, 2021, surrounded by her family. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth “Libby” Weber. Olive graduated from the all-girls Catholic Vincentian Institute (VI) where she was at the top of her class early on. She worked as a stenographer for missionary Father Patrick Peyton at the VI, who coined the phrase, “The family that prays together, stays together.” She also worked as a stenographer for A&P Supermarkets. Olive met her husband Frank J. Kulbako roller-skating. They were married on July 16, 1949 and resided in Rotterdam until Frank passed away in 2010. Olive and Frank socialized every Saturday night at the Bavarian Chalet and the Rotterdam Elks club, where they enjoyed dancing. Olive and Frank also enjoyed spending time with their family and socializing with their neighbors. Most of all, Olive was known as a fun-loving, colorful eccentric who had a great sense of humor. She was very intelligent and could converse on nearly any topic. Olive, the family matriarch, enjoyed her many family visits over the years while living at Kingsway Manor. Olive is survived by her four children, Deborah (Richard) Arnold, Linda (James) Haber, Edward (Kathleen) Kulbako, and Glenn (Laurie) Kulbako; her grandchildren, Matthew (Laura) Kulbako, Kristen Magil, Amanda (Matthew) Delaney, Jordan (Chanel) Kulbako, Renée Behrens, Robert Behrens, and Jared (Karen) Kulbako; and nine great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family as well as her many friends. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Fairview Cemetery in Princetown. Funeral services will be private.
