Norman B. Deyoe, 77, formerly of Schenectady, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Peekskill, NY. Norman was born in Berlin, NY, the son of the late Melvin and Evelyn Hull Deyoe. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1956 and was employed at Schenectady Chemical in Schenectady for several years before moving to Poughkeepsie in the mid 60's. Norman earned an Associate Degree and worked for over 30 years as a Chemist with IBM in Fishkill, NY. He enjoyed Tennis, skiing, discussing politics, taking long walks with his big stick, vacations in Atlantic City and especially spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Norman was also predeceased by his three brothers; Melvin Deyoe Jr, Donald Deyoe and Eugene Deyoe and two sisters; Olive Green and Lanita Santoro. He is survived by his longtime companion, Sandra Rosenblatt of Yorktown Heights, NY, two daughters; Robin (Gary) Zander of Schenectady and Pamela (Chris Greco) Deyoe of Rotterdam, his sister; Joyce E. Ferraro of Glenville and his brother; William (Mary Lou) Deyoe of Arizona, three grandchildren; Ian Bick, Julianna Bick and Joseph Colon, step daughters; Cheri Rosenblatt and Caryn (Steve) Rosenblatt and two step grandchildren; Haley Niggl and Ethan Niggl as well as many nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held on Monday from 11-12 noon at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 12 noon. Entombment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie.
