Nicholas J. Emanuele

Glenville – Nicholas J. Emanuele, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 25, 2026. Born in Amsterdam, NY on October 27, 1930 to Mary and Joseph Emanuele. He graduated from Wilbur High School in 1948. Nick proudly served in the US Army for 2 years and was honorably discharged in 1953. He worked at the Schenectady International Company in Rotterdam Jct. in which he retired after 33 years of employment. Nick moved to Green Acres, Florida for 26 years and returned to Glenville in 2019 to be with his family. Nick was a barbershop chorus and quartet singer for 44 years. He sang with the Schenectady Electric city chorus and the Florida palm Beach Coastman chorus where he won the Senior Quartet Championship in 1997.

Along with his loving parents Nick is predeceased by his brother Joseph Emanuele and sister Rachel McConville.

Nicholas is survived by his children, Elizabeth (Peter) Battaglia of Rotterdam, NY, Carol (David) Taylor of Carver, Mass., Nocholas Emanuele Jr. of Schenectady, NY, Theresa (Donald) Kruse of Colonie, NY, Michael (Brenda) Emanuele of Schenectady, NY and stepson Michael Matthews of Lake Worth, Fl.

He is also survived by four grandchildren Lisa (Joshua) Johnson, Brett (Kristen) Gold, Kyle (Alyssa) Carlson and Ryan (Lauren) Carlson. Seven great grandchildren Caleb Johnson, Victoria, Julia and Emma Gold, Florence Carlson, Tallulah and Ellery Carlson.

Nick is also survived by his brother Raymond (Nancy) Emanuele, sister-in-law Shirley Emanuele, brother-in-law Daniel McConville. Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday July 29th at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.

A calling hour from 10-11 am will precede the service.

Burial, with military honors, will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Amsterdam.
