Rotterdam- Monica J. (Ralbovsky) Franke, 72, at rest Wednesday April 10, 2013. Born in Amsterdam, Monica was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Wanda (Levandusky) Ralbovsky.She was a graduateof Wilbur Lynch High School Class of 1958. Monica later graduated from SUNY Albany with a BA in English and completed her education when she was awarded her MA Degree in Education from the College of St. Rose. Monica had various teaching assignments as an English Teacher including Teacher's Aide in the Mohonasen School District, a position she held for several years.Monica was foremost a homemaker and a devoted mother who loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading and traveling, especially trips to Ogunquit, Maine.She was an avid Yankee fan. Monica was the beloved wife of Douglas Franke of Pompano Beach, Florida; beloved mother of Michael (Elizabeth) Franke, Edward (Jalinda) Franke; all of Rotterdam, Mary (Jeffrey) Lawyer of Voorheesville, Thomas Franke of Snellville, Georgia; doting grandmother of Audrey, Jennifer and Emily Franke; Kyle and Ryan Franke; all of Rotterdam, Abigail Lawyer of Voorheesville. A calling period will be held Saturday, April 13, from 8:30 am to 10 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam. Those in attendance may follow in procession to a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210Princetown Rd., Rotterdam. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Amsterdam ,N.Y.
