Mildred L. Hopmeier Venice, FL - Mildred L. Hopmeier 95, formally of Schenectady, passed away on Wednesday May 6, 2015, at Aston Gardens Assisted Living Center in Venice, Florida. Born in Niskayuna, NY on June 23, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Johannas J. Riddervold and Stella Formanack-Riddervold. Living most of her life in Schenectady, she married William J. Hopmeier December 15, 1945, was employed by General Electric Co. and Schalmont High School as a secretary for many years.She and her husband owned and operated Hopmeier Insurance Agency and assisted on theHopmeier farm. They were married 64 years prior to his passing. She is survived by her Son W Bruce Hopmeier (wife Bernice), Joyce Hopmeier mother of Bruce's two sons, W Sage Hopmeier (wife Kelly), Toth W Hopmeier and one great grandson Aiden Hopmeier, Sister-in-law Joeann Hopmeier, Nephew William R. Hopmeier (wife Lyn), Nieces Gayle Riddervold (Becky), Robin Cotton (husband John) Dawn Riddervold, Ann Marie Hopmeier-Parker (husband Darren), great nephews Andrew Hopmeier, Conner J. Cotton, Michael Cotton, and Great nieces Julieann Hopmeier and Holly Parker. She was predeceased by her husband William J. Hopmeier, Father-in-law William F. Hopmeier (wife Marie), Uncle Ole Riddervold (wife Inga), Brother-in-law Frederick T. Hopmeier, Brother Edmund J. Riddervold (wife Mary and Charlotte), Brother Frederick Riddervold, Aunt Marie Eitner-Formanack (husband Eric), Aunt Bertha Formanack, Aunt Ingabord Riddervold-Striker (husband Daniel), Uncle Rudolph Formanack. The Hopmeier Family wishes to thank all of those who offered condolences and support in our time of grief. Calling hours, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Sunday, May 17th from 4 - 6 p.m. at De Marco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam, New York. Funeral services will begin at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul the Apostle Church, on Monday May 18, 2015.Burial will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, New York.
