Michael Marchinuke

ROTTERDAM - Michael P. Marchinuke, 68, passed away on Saturday June 22, 2024. He was born in Coral Gables, FL on January 10, 1956 to the late Samuel Marchinuke and Marie O’Donell Urbanski. Mike grew up in Loudonville and graduated from Shaker HS and received his Bachelors degree in Broadcasting from Ashland University in Ohio.

Mike became a broadcaster and worked at many local radio stations in the area and also in OH, VT, MA and IN, before retiring from iHeartRadio. He was well-known as Shadow Michaels, Big Mike and Mike Patrick, to name a few. Mike also taught broadcast radio at the former New School of Radio and Television. Radio was his life, and he used it as a medium for his volunteer work with Wreaths Across America and for many other charity events. Mike also recorded audio books and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. He collected comic books, enjoyed attending and watching wrestling events and was a big Grocho Marx and Three Stooges fan.

Mike is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughter, Megan; his grandsons, Chris, Zach, and Mason; his son in law, Eric; and his nephew, Scott.

As per his wishes, Mike was privately cremated and there will be no services. Arrangements by DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, Rotterdam. Condolences can be posted at demarcostonefuneralhome.com.
