Melissa L Groat

Melissa L. Groat, 43 of Delanson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2014. Melissa graduated from Duanesburg High School in 1988 and worked for several years as a Building & Property Manager for BBL. Most recently she was the owner of the Quaker Inn in Delanson.She enjoyed sports and was a member of several women's softball leagues. She was also a member of the Duanesburg Business Association. Melissa is survived by her beloved daughter, Brittany L. Groat, her mother, Donna J. Patterson as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10-12 noon at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 western Tpk. (Rt. 20) in Guilderland. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 12 noon.
