Megan B. Fitzgerald

Guilderland-Megan B. Fitzgerald, of Guilderland, passed peacefully on Tuesday April 18, 2023 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Megan was born to Matthew and Caroline Fitzgerald on April 15, 1977. Megan was a sweet soul who loved everyone around her. She loved being at camp, fishing off her boat and spending time with her dogs. She was an avid softball player and loved NASCAR and the TV show, COPS. She had an enormous love of sharks and would drop everything during shark week to be sure she didn’t miss a thing. She loved being the center of attention and when she felt she had enough of you, she would most certainly tell you to “wrap it up”. She will be sorely missed. Megan is survived by her mother, Caroline, sisters, Michelle Ganance (Vince), Tracy Rist (Eric), Chrissy Nash (Shawn), Katie Fitzgerald, nieces, Maggie Ganance and Trinity Rist, nephew, Vincent Scott Ganance Jr. and dogs, Ralphie, Abby and Peach. Megan was predeceased by her father, Matthew W. Fitzgerald, III and her aunt, Sister Laureen Fitzgerald, RSM. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Megan’s family on Friday, April 21 from 4-7 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Tpke. (just west of Carman Road), Guilderland. Funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
