Mavis E Lovett

Schenenectady- Mavis E. Lovett, 97, passed away on February 6, 2015 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center. She was born in 1917 in Hammond NY, the daughter of the late Randall Brown and A. Estella Brown. As a young child she moved to Niagara Falls NY and lived there until moving to Schenectady in 1990. She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and attended the Ravenswood Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago Illinois. Mavis was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Ronald Brown and her beloved husband of fifty years Ernest Edwards Lovett. She is survived by her children Kathleen E. (Rudolf) Petersen of Schenectady, David E. (Virginia) Lovett of St. Marys, Georgia and Marilyn L. (John) Dewey of Penfield Illinois. Also surviving are six grandchildren Martin D. Petersen, James C. Petersen, Rebecca E. Offringa, Edward C. Lovett, David B. Lovett and James Andrew Dewey as well as eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday February 11, 2015 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave ,Rotterdam. A funeral service will be held at 9am on Thursday February 12, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Niagara Falls at a later date.
