Maureen Alterson

Guilderland - Maureen Alterson, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025. She was born in Elmhurst, NY on October 16, 1955 to the late John and Margaret Hogan Malone. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Mike Alterson.

Maureen is survived by her daughters, Megan, Marissa (Nick Stark); her grandchildren, Olivia and Aiden; her siblings, Joanne, Dennis, Kathleen, Eileen, and Mary; and many nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful person and a caring friend. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 8th from 12 PM to 2 PM at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Tpke, Guilderland. She will then be privately cremated. Condolences can be posted at demarcostonefuneralhome.com.
