Maryellen (Sickels) Weber

Rotterdam - MaryEllen (Sickels) Weber, 75 of Rotterdam, passed at her home on Wednesday June 9, 2021. MaryEllen was born in Albany, the daughter of the late James and Mary Daby Sickels. She graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School in Albany and later attended the Albany Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. MaryEllen was employed for several years at Grandoe in Gloversville. After moving to Schenectady she worked as a Medical Billing Associate at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital for 15 years before she retired. She enjoyed taking trips to the Boardwalk in Atlantic City and loved playing the penny and nickel slots. In addition to her parents, MaryEllen was also predeceased by her beloved husband Frederick J. Weber Jr, who died in 2001 and her son; Scott P. Weber. She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna (Charles) Dailey, her sister, Carolyn Sickels Felt of Rotterdam, brothers; James C. Sickels of Ballston Lake and Stephen G. Sickels of Cobleskill, her uncle; Charles (Nancy) Daby of Colonie, several nieces and nephews and her faithful dog, Winston. It was MaryEllen’s request that there would be no calling hours, and that funeral services would be private. Burial will be at St’s Cyril and Method Cemetery.
