On the evening of Tuesday, March 23, 2021, Mary Anne Wilgocki joined her husband, Larry, in eternal rest surrounded by her loving children at home. Born in Albany, NY, Mary Anne was the 2nd youngest of 11 children born to Joseph A. & Michalina (Govel) Kowalski. After graduating from High School, Mary Anne went to work as an operator and supervisor at NY Telephone Company. She married her husband, Larry Wilgocki, on September 2, 1956 and they enjoyed 44 years together before Larry’s passing in 2002. Together, Mary Anne and Larry had 8 children and were blessed when they were called on to care for and raise one of their grandsons as if he was their own. She is survived by her 8 children: Anna Marie Montanaro-Miller (Charles), Constance A. Crawford (Arthur), Donna Jean Duncan (Richard), Trudey A. Chojecki (Paul), Bernadette Wilgocki, Stanley A. Wilgocki (Barbara), Nancy A. Wilgocki, Stephen L. Wilgocki and Christopher M. Wilgocki (Ada). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She leaves behind her only living sibling, Elizabeth A. Raczkowski. Mary Anne is also survived by several nieces, nephews and special friends. She was a member of Saint Madeleine Sophie Church in Guilderland, NY and The Christ Child Society. Being a devout Catholic, she relied heavily on her faith, especially while on her final journey. Mary Anne was extremely proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed sharing and celebrating with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society and The Christ Child Society in c/o Saint Madeleine Sophie Church. Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 28th from 2-5 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Monday at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland. Burial will follow at St. Adalberts Cemetery, Rotterdam.
