Mary R. Edwards, 94 years worth of wisdom, fun and love, passed away at home on December 14, 2018. Born in Northampton, MA , Mary was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Adams Ford. Mary was a loving, joyful, kind, thoughtful, hardworking, generous, strong lady. Her smile was made of sunshine and her heart full of gold. What gave her the most joy was being with family and friends. Mary was an amazing bowler and a proud participant and member of the Press Bowling Tournaments. She loved fishing and her years of camping on the great Sacandaga Lake. Mary was an active member of the ladies auxillary of VFW Post #1895 and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #514. She is survived by her children, Edd Gross Sr (Marie) of Barre, VT, John P. Gross (Connie) of Rochester, NY, David R. Gross of Rotterdam, Mary Frances Gross of Lexington, KY, daughter in law Barbara Gross of Scotia, her dog Molly, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her two brothers, Robert J. Ford and Edward Rabideau, her son, Richard W. Gross, grandsons, Michael E. Gross and Jeffrey K. Gross and her great grandson Brandon R. Gross. Mary’s family would like to welcome family and friends to attend calling hours, from 6-8 pm TONIGHT, Monday, December 17th at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at the funeral home at 10 am. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Scotia. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for their compassion and generosity to Sue and Melissa at Landmark.
