Rotterdam – Martha (Severino) Van Woeart, 92, passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 at the Glendale Nursing Home. Born on July 7th, 1925 in Schenectady, Martha was the daughter of the late Pasqualle and Antoinette Severino. Martha graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and worked for several years at the Army Depot in Schenectady. Martha’s greatest love was being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the matriarch of the family. Her love was to feed everyone! Besides her parents, Martha was predeceased in March by her husband of 70 years, Donald Van Woeart as well as her siblings, Caroline Zeppieri, Anthony Severino, Orlando Severino, Rose Borysewicz, Joseph Severino, Filomena Fava, Frank Severino and William Severino. Left behind to cherish Martha’s memory are her children, Donna Larsen (Paul), Mark Van Woeart (Cheryl Angers), her grandchildren, Lisa Relation (Richard), Kimberly DeLucia (Vince), Mark Van Woeart (Kate), Erica Russo, Marissa Van Woeart and Matthew Van Woeart, great grandchildren, Vincent, Nicholas, Gabriella and Joseph DeLucia and Mark Donald Van Woeart Jr., her brother, Edward Severino (Ruth), and cousins, Peter and Richard DeLuccia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday, May 14th from 5-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 9am and will be followed by a mass of Christian burial that will be celebrated at 10am at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 210 Princetown Road. Interment will follow at St. Cyril’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are by R.J.
