Martha J (Meade) Cieszynski

Altamont - Martha Jane (Meade) Cieszysnki, 75, of Altamont, NY died at home surrounded by family on Monday, November 22, 2021. She was born October 26, 1946 in Ticonderoga to the late Frederick Meade and late May Kelly. Martha was a graduate of Albany Business College and immediately started a career in State service. She retired after 41 years of service. Martha had several part time jobs after her State employment that she enjoyed. She loved her cat kids, gardening, and was a Sweet Adeline member for 30 years where she held several administrative positions. Martha was the loving wife of the late Walter Cieszynski for 45 years and is survived by a stepson, Jeffrey (Kathy) Cieszynski, grandchildren, Jeffery Jr., Nathan and Rosa Cieszynski. In addition to her husband, father and mother, she was also predeceased by step mom, Regina Tyrel and siblings, Harold Meade, and Jeannine Meade. Survivors include siblings, Helen Bohannon of Jacksonville, FL, Howard (Bonnie) Meade of Chestertown, NY, Frank (Jill) Meade and Thomas Meade of North Creek, NY and Rose (Norman) Foster of Virginia Beach, VA; she is also, survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Special thanks to Martha’s 24/7 caregiver, Jeff, for all his dedication – no questions asked. Calling hours will be held Monday from 10am - 12 noon at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 5216 Western Turnpike (just west of Carman Rd), Guilderland. A 12 noon funeral service will immediately follow. Burial will be at Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam.
