Rotterdam - Mark D. Clough, 62, passed away Saturday September 29, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital, after a long and courageous battle against melanoma. Mark will be remembered as one of the nicest and kindest men anyone has ever met. Mark’s infectious smile and big personality had a positive impact on everyone he met. He never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone and often put the needs of others ahead of his own. Mark was born in Schenectady on January 9, 1956 to the late James Clough and late Violet (Reed) Clough. He graduated from Linton High School in 1974 and soon after found employment at Campbell Plastics in Schenectady. Mark always took pride in his work and gave 120% no matter what. Mark quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to manager where he thrived. He had the innate ability to connect with people and get the best out of people. Mark was a devoted family man and his most treasured times were those he spent with his family. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 41 years , Cynthia (Mantello) Clough and his three children Scott (Kristen) Clough, Kevin (Kathryn) Clough, and Katie (Ben) Clough. He was also a caring and amazing grandfather to Aaron, Avery, and Charlotte. He will be sadly missed by his friend and canine pal Molly. In addition, Mark is survived by his three brothers, Louis, Christopher, and James and his loving brother and sister-in-law, John and Cathy Amiccuci. He was proceeded by late sister Deborah. Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at the funeral home.
