Mark S. Brown

DUANESBURG - Mark S. Brown, 64, passed away peacefully on Saturday night December 23, 2023. He was born in South Portland, Maine on August 26, 1959 to Janice M. and the late Paul E. Brown.

Mark graduated from Platt High School in Meridan, Connecticut. He went right to work and spent most of his career in the supermarket business. Mark held various positions, from department manager, to store manager and worked his way up into various leadership positions. Mark was most recently employed by the ShopRite stores in Milford, Connecticut as a supervisor for their bakery departments.

Mark enjoyed time at home, from riding his tractor to sitting on his patio enjoying the view by a fire. He loved trips to the Adirondacks where he would relax by the water, looking out at the mountains. Holidays and special occasions brought so much happiness to Mark, whether it be singing Happy Birthday to a loved one, sitting outside handing out candy to trick or treaters, or putting up Christmas lights and decorating the Christmas tree, he always had a smile on his face.

Mark is survived by his mother Janice Brown and his siblings, Kathy (Wendy Doyer) Brown and Dean Brown. He is also survived by his loving family; Stephanie, Darbie and Savannah.
