Rotterdam, NY. Marjorie Mabel Capobianco, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2025, with her loving family at her side. Margie was born in 1929, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Forrest and Margaret (Gorman) Franklin.
Marjorie was a professional dancer with the Roxyettes at the Roxy Music Hall in NYC. She also toured with other shows throughout the Northeast and Florida. On April 7, 1950, Marge married Edward Carmen Capobianco of Schenectady, NY, where they settled and raised their four daughters.
Marge was a devoted mom and housewife who always provided love and support to her family. She spent many summers vacationing with her daughters at her parents’ home in Union Beach, NJ.
Marge also enjoyed spending quality time with her 10 grandchildren. Nothing was more precious to her than the time spent celebrating birthdays, holidays, and graduation parties with her family, always dancing and having a great time.
Marjorie had many talents. She was an avid sewer, knitter, crocheter, making all types of clothing for her daughters, baptismal outfits for her grandchildren, as well as costumes, stuffed animals, and many other things. Marge was also an excellent cook and baker. She would make her delicious lasagna for the family business, “Lucy’s Pizzeria and Restaurant”, and always had a different type of cheesecake or treat to delight her grandchildren.
Margie was an animal lover. For many years she raised poodles and Pomeranians. As a self-taught dog groomer, she had her own home grooming business.
Marge will always be remembered with a rush of love, gratitude and respect. She had a generous heart and would do anything for her family and friends.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents Forrest and Margaret Franklin, husband Edward Capobianco, brother Charles Allen Franklin, daughter Lucia Margaret Capobianco, and grandson Domenick Andrew Cusano.
