Marion B (Burns) Mackey

Marion B. Mackey of Guilderland, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Born on September 21, 1915 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Verda M. Trudeau Burns. Marion celebrated her 100th birthday with her family and friends last September. In addition to her parents, Marion was also predeceased by her beloved husband, William B. Mackey, who died in 1983. She is survived by her five children; William (Betty) Mackey, Susan (Ted) Nemoto, Joseph (Sandra) Mackey, Mary Downing and Ellen Mackey. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, 9 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 806 Union St. Burial will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the City Mission of Schenectady, 425 Hamilton St. Schenectady, 12305 or to a charity of one’s choice.
