Marilyn J (Rifenburgh) Rockefeller

Guilderland - Marilyn J. Rockefeller passed away peacefully on Sunday night, September 11, 2022, at the youthful age of 90. Marilyn was born in 1931 in Germantown, NY to Edward and Bernice Rifenburgh. She was a graduate of Germantown HS and Mildred Elley secretarial school. She worked as an executive secretary throughout her career and retired from SUNY Administration in 1990. She was an avid lover of Pendelton suits, handbags, shoes, red kitchen tools and QVC (especially “In the Kitchen with David). She is predeceased by her husband, Delbert Rockefeller and her oldest daughter, Debbie Tomasso, son-in-law Patrick, sister Kathy Griffin and brother Donald Rifenburgh. She is survived by her daughter Darlene Burke-Cohn (Jeff) and grandchildren Sara Burke, Samantha Burke-Russ (Jon) and Timothy Burke, her sister Shirley Giguere and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to greet the family from 9:30am to 10am on Monday September 19, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 153 Nott Terrace, Schenectady, where a funeral service will take place at 10am. Interment will be at Viewmont Cemetery, Germantown, NY following the service. In lieu of flowers donations to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church or charity of your choice in her memory.
