Marilyn (Roxanne) (Turner) Delgallo

July 4, 1944 — August 4, 2022

ROTTERDAM--Marilyn (Roxanne) DelGallo was born on July 4, 1944 and went home to the Lord onAugust 4, 2022. She died after a long battle with cancer and over time she had a great sense of humor in regards to her illness. As the cancer started to take over, she was a bit ticked off that she was going to be called to Heaven earlier then she would have liked. She wasn't very excited for the angels coming take her away from her family. We are certain that her beloved husband and best friend, Franny, after waiting so patiently for her, was so excited for her arrival, though he knew she did not enjoy them, threw a big party with fireworks, just like old times. Roxanne married her best friend and business partner late Francis (Franny) DelGallo. Roxanne was by Franny’s side from the very first day of their family business and enjoyed working, she was an integral part of the family business working until her final days. Most people know that Roxanne was a loving mother and dedicated wife, but what many did not know is what a strong and passionate woman she was. She loved to cook and have her house full offamily and friends for dailydinners. Sunday dinners will be missed by many with her famous meatballs and sauce. Roxanne’s joy for shopping was only surpassed by love of her animals – her chickens, ducks, donkeys, goats and her many dogs over the years . She also loved her back yard birds; she especially enjoyed watching them. Besides her husband, Franny and her mother Nita she was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Concetta; brother-in-law,Tony DelGallo; sisters-in-law, Carm Giannetti and her husband Louis and Mary Laven and her husband Ed. She is survived by her loving children; Christine DelGallo and Michael DelGallo and his wife Erica; adoring grandchildren, Francesco DelGallo and Marlo DelGallo; sister in law Elisa Bursor and her husband Bob; brother, Robert DelGallo; sister-in-law, Vicky DelGallo; her grandpuppy, Lulu who took care of her while she was sick; she is also survived by a large loving family of nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends who were family to her. During this difficult time our family is very thankful for Pastor Tony of Florida Baptist Church. He compared Roxanne’s life to Ephesians 4:32; “be kind and compassionate to one another for foregoing any cruelty as God also forgave you.” We are also grateful to Dr. Godoy, Dr. Younes and the staff from NYOH for the loving care shown to Roxanne during her illness. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with Roxanne’s family at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 4 until 7 PM. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 5 PM at the Duanesburg Florida Baptist Church, 7967 NY-30, Delanson, with a memorial dinner to follow.
