Marilyn Dagostino

Marilyn Dagostino, 66, of Schenectady died peacefully in her home on September 23,2015. Born in Schenectady, NY, she was the predeceased by her parents, Lawrence Dagostino and Christina Dagostino. Marilyn was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. She then graduated from SUNY Buffalo where she earned undergraduate and graduate degrees prior to teaching in Orchard park, NY. Marilyn's interests included global and current events, travel, foreign languages, education and the arts, as well as legal and labor relations. Her humanitarian affiliations and civic involvement were both local and international. The highlight of her career was teaching at the Multinational Force Camp on the Sinai Peninsula in 1991. Marilyn is survived by her sister, Lorraine Dagostino, of Nashua, NH, her brother, Lawrence J. Dagostino (Linda), and a nephew, James Dagostino of Schenectady. She also leaves behind other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Interment will take place in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in memory of Marilyn Dagostino to the Guilderland Animal Shelter, c/o Guilderland Police Dept.
