Rotterdam – Marilyn Cser, 90, entered into the arms of the Lord with her family by her side on Monday, November 26th, 2018. Marilyn was born in Whitesville, NY on May 13th, 1928. She graduated from Nott Terrace High School and immediately started her working career. Marilyn retired from Ellis Hospital as a Medical Secretary in 1992 following 25 years of service. After her retirement she continued to work part time for Schenectady Radiologists, PC for several years. Marilyn most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for the outdoors and gardening. Her flowers were a testament of her love and care. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Elva Cannice, brothers, Vincent and Phillip Cannice and her husband, Miklos (Mike) Cser. Marilyn in survived by her 4 loving daughters, Linda Mallard, Debbie (John) Gerhardt, Amy (Jay) Maxfield and Michele (Jeffrey) Scrom, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She is also survived by several nephews and her lifelong best friend, Linda Pauley. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, November 30th from 4-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 1st at 10am at the funeral home followed by interment at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Troy-Schenectady Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady or to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are by RJ DeLuccia Funeral Service.
