Schenectady – Marie S. Pannone Foote, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8th, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Rotterdam, Marie was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (DeFilippo) Parenti. A lifelong area resident, Marie was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church. She was also, for many years, co-owner of Combo’s Fish Fry on Crane St. When she was young, she loved to sing and harmonize with her sisters. Family, friends and her love for the Lord were the center of her world. Marie always made sure everyone was fed and happy. Her cooking and baking were second to none. Marie was a strong woman and wonderful mother and grandmother, always willing to guide and help anyone in need. Marie also had a deep love for animals especially poodles. Marie is predeceased by her first husband, Pasquale Pannone and her second husband, John H. Foote, in addition to her siblings, Margaret Rightmyer, Dolores Mottolo, Divina Brooks and Anthony Parenti, Jr. Left behind to cherish Marie’s memory are her beloved children, Dominick A. Pannone, Anthony P. Pannone (Deborah), Patricia Miranda (Pasquale) and Mary Opoka (Mark) as well as her 11 adored grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Clara Gwozdz and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 12th from 10am-12pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin at 12pm at the funeral home and will be followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Schenectady.
