Marianna (Santabarbara) Disorbo

Schenectady – Marianna DiSorbo, 98, passed away Tuesday February 2, 2021. Born in Caiazzo, Italy, she was the daughter of Lorenzo and Concetta Santabarbara. Marianna came to the United States and Schenectady in 1967. She loved spending time in her flower garden along with making Taralli and her homemade bread. Marianna will be remembered most for her love of family. She is survived by her son Antonio (the late Speranza “Hope”) DiSorbo of Rotterdam. Three grandchildren; Anthony DiSorbo, Anna Maria (William) Wertman and Daniel (Kendra) DiSorbo. Three great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Devon and Antonio. She is also survived by Antonio (Maria) DiCarlo. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Marianna was predeceased by her lifelong companion, Michele DiCarlo. She was also predeceased by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. A prayer service will take place 11 am Friday (tomorrow) at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A calling hour will precede the service from 10-11 am. Masks must be worn and all Covid-19 restrictions will be adhered to. Entombment will follow at St. Cyril’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marianna’s memory to the American Heart Association.
