Rotterdam – Maria Nunzia Audi, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Born in Squille, Caserta, Italy she was the daughter of Fiorentino and Marianna (Rossi) Viscusi. Maria came to the United States in 1966 and settled in Schenectady. From 1966-1978 she worked at the Cheltingham Dress Factory before retiring to care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maria had a passion for crocheting and making bread. She also loved spending time in her garden. Above all else she will be remembered for her devotion and the love she had for her family. Her husband of 63 years, Giuseppe Audi, passed away in 2020. She is survived by her daughters Maria (Salvatore) Mancino and Adele (the late Angelo) Rossi. Maria is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her siblings Carlo A. Viscusi and Arcangela Marotta. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 19 from 8-10 a.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. An 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 1255 Pleasant St., Schenectady. Entombment will be at Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam.
