Maria Lee (Demarco) Micalizza

Schenectady- Maria L. "Lee" Micalizzi, 90, enteredinto the Arms of Our Lord, on Sunday March 16, 2014. Lee was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Guistino and Ida (DiTommaso) DeMarco. She was a 1943 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Lee was very active at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where over the years she participated in the Mt. Carmel Seniors, the Women's Society, the Visitation Ministry and was a Eucharistic Minister and lovedrunning the fiesta garage saleFor fun, she loved playing her Lowry organ. Lee was the beloved wife of John D. Micalizzi of Schenectady; beloved sister of Louis (Dolores) DeMarco of Schenectady and the late Dina Ferrucci and Alex DeMarco. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday March19, 2014 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin Thursday March 20, 1014 9:15 am at the funeral home, immediately following a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Schenectady at 10 am. Lee will be interred in St. John's Cemetery, Schenectady.
