Rotterdam- Maria R. Lane (Pisano),66, of Rotterdam passed away suddenly on Thursday December 17, 2020. A Graduate of Linton High School, Maria was known by all as a kind and loving individual who was always there to help a person in need. She worked for many years and retired from Campbell Plastics of Schenectady. Her and her sister worked diligently to find their mother’s biological family and in 2018 they were successful in locating the family.Maria was thrilled to learn of her new uncles, aunts and numerous cousins and looked forward to spending time with all of them. She cherished their love and kindness. For many years she enjoyed summers at her camp on Sacandaga Lake surrounded by her family. Her grandchildren especially meant the world to her. She is predeceased by her loving mother, Jennie V. DiStefano Pisano and her father, John Pisano. She is survived by her soul mate and childhood sweetheart, the love of her life and husband,William A. Lane.They were childhood sweethearts and had shared a lifetime of memories and happiness. She is also survived by her two devoted children, Timothy Lane (Gina Graziano Lane), William Lane (Meredith Hahn Lane), her loving sister and best friend, Deborah Rakoske-Gray and brother in-law, Hal Gray, her devoted grandchildren, Ezekiel Robinson, Joshua Provost,Cody Lane, Zackary Lane and her precious granddaughter, Olivia Maria Lynn Lane, her nephews Ryan and Jordan Rakoskeand several other nieces and nephews, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many brother in-law's and sister in- law's.She is also survived by her devoted corgi and constant companion Oliver. The family is forever grateful to Dr. John Nolan for saving her life 26 years ago and continuing her care to the present. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to St. Luke’s Church, 1241 State Street, Schenectady, New York12304. COVID guidelines including; masks, social distancing and occupancy limits will be followed. Burial services will be at a later date.
