Margaret A (Bianchine) Stibinger

Rotterdam -- Margaret A. Stibinger passed into the arms of the Lord on May 24, 2022 at Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Amsterdam, New York. Margaret was born on June 29, 1943, the eldest child of Joseph and Margaret (Deckert) Bianchine. She grew up on the Bianchine family farm in Jefferson and spent her childhood in Richmondville and Summit graduating from Richmondville Central School in 1961. Margaret graduated from Albany Business College and was employed by Del Palmer Realty prior to raising her family. Once her children were grown she returned to work and was employed by the New York State Department of Law until her retirement. Margaret was a devoted wife to her husband Joseph until his death in May 2014. While at home taking care of her family Margaret volunteered many hours with the Girl Scouts, her daughters’ schools and her church. Margaret spent many hours crafting, crocheting, knitting, and baking thousands of Christmas cookies. Survivors include her children Cynthia (Russell) Holman and Beth Ann (Steve) Thayer, grandchildren RJ, Emily and Molly Holman and Joe and Sam Thayer. Her bonus children Darlene (Fred) Lee and Deborah (Michael) Wilson, and her bonus grandchildren Art Totten, Dawn Olsen, Theresa Dube and Brenda Lincoln and their children. Siblings Joseph (Sandra) Bianchine, Hoppy (Janet) Bianchine, Thomas (Nancy) Bianchine, Joy (Michael) Costello, Ellen (Leroy) VanValkenburgh, and Clifford (Nan) Bianchine, several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends as well as her church family. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, her husband, bonus children Joann Keeney, Janice Dube and John Fish and many dear family members and friends. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will be held 10am Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church 103 S. Reynolds St., Scotia, NY 12302. Burial will follow at Summit Cemetery, Summit, NY.
