Guilderland - Margaret M. Lettieri, 93, of Guilderland, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 20, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born in Hazelton, PA., daughter of Adam and Anna Hopeck. She was married for over 50 years to the late Nunzi F. Lettieri. Devoted mother of Frank A. Lettieri of NYC, Nancy P. Marcone of Schenectady and John M. Lettieri (Elise) of Williston, VT. Loving grandmother of Kimberly A. Guy of New Jersey and Brian E. Guy of Charlotte, NC. Sister of Magdeline Gorgone of Copiague, LI and Cyril Hopeck of DeFuniak, FL. She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph B. Hopeck, Bernard Hopeck, Edward Hopeck and sisters, Anna Hludzik & Caroline Cavallaro. She lived in Brooklyn, NY for over 50 years where she was very active in her community. She was known to order groceries for people and have them delivered anonymously to the needy in her neighborhood. She was an active volunteer in the Brooklyn Boys and Girls Club. After moving to Guilderland over 20 years ago she became a communicant of St. Madeleine-Sophie Church and was a member of the Christ Child Society and St. Vincent DePaul Society. Calling hours, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 5216 Western Turnpike (just west of Carman Rd.) Guilderland. Funeral services will begin 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m Mass of Christian Burial at St. Madeleine-Sophie Church 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland.
