Glenville - Madeline Dell Aquila Mone, 96, of Glenville, passed peacefully on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Teresian House in Albany. Madeline was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Angelo and Carmela Destino Dell Aquila. She graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1943. Madeline worked at a variety of jobs during her lifetime including serving as a Schenectady County Deputy Sheriff for 10 years. She retired in 1987 after 15 years of service as a Security Guard at General Electric. She was one of the first women to hold either one of those positions. Madeline was an avid bowler always striving for that perfect 300 game and participated in several area leagues simultaneously. She loved working with ceramics and blessed her family with the many beautiful art works she created. In addition to her parents, Madeline was also predeceased by her siblings, Anthony Della Aquila, Angela Imbesi and Marjorie Angerami. She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Mone of Glenville, Maria Carusone and her husband Alexander of Halfmoon, Carmela Mone and her husband Louis R. Cirelli of Flagstaff, AZ. Madeline was also the grandmother of Christine Carusone, Matthew Carusone, Megan Cirelli, Rosamaria Cirelli and great grandmother of Alexandra Carusone and Samuel Carusone. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 9th from 12pm – 2 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue with a funeral service from 1 to 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving and compassionate care provided by the entire Teresian House family especially Kelly, Rini and Tia.
