Lynne Plarr Kriss, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday June 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 20, 1952, in Blasdell, NY, Lynne's life was a testament to her unwavering faith in God and her enduring kindness to all who knew her. She was predeceased by her loving parents, William and Mary (Reid) Plarr.
Lynne's journey in life was marked by a dedication to caring for others, a commitment that found its truest expression in her chosen profession. After earning her nursing degree from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1974, Lynne devoted 35 years to the noble work of nursing, primarily in the emergency department. Her compassion, skill, and calm demeanor were a comfort to countless individuals in their most urgent moments of need.
Her marriage to her husband Allen was a source of immense joy and partnership. Together, they nurtured a family that would grow to include their beloved children, Andrew and Elaine, their cherished spouses Wendie and Devin, and their grandson Khaleel. Lynne is also survived by her brother Bill Plarr, and her close friend Courtney Conrad, who was like a daughter to her.
Lynne was a radiant presence in the Mary Kay cosmetics community, serving as a consultant for over two decades and empowering women through beauty and camaraderie. Her faith was her foundation, and as a devout member of Faith United Methodist Church, she found strength and fellowship. Lynne's love for socializing was matched only by her appreciation for nature; she found peace and rejuvenation in God’s earth.
