Rotterdam – Luigi Martini, 88, entered into everlasting life on Saturday, October 12th, 2019. Luigi was born in Frosinone, Italy, and was the son of the late Vincenzo and Chiara Martini. Luigi emigrated to the United States with his wife, Vincenza and daughter, Nicolina in 1966. Once here, he began working at the General Electric Co. as a crane operator. Luigi retired from GE after over 30 years of service. Luigi enjoyed playing cards and spending his time at home with his family or hanging out with his GE pals. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Left behind to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 63 years, Vincenza Muscedere Martini and his loving daughter, Nicolina Martini. He also leaves behind his sister, Virginia Lecce (late Orazio). Luigi was predeceased by his son, Mario Martini and brother, Pasquale Martini. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday morning from 8:15am-10:15am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A funeral mass will follow at 11am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant St., Schenectady. Entombment will take place at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
