Louise (Davi) Sikorski, a longtime resident of Schenectady, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 in the care of Kingsway Arms Nursing Home on Tuesday May 7, 2024. Louise was born on April 17,1930 in Schenectady, NY. Louise is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Phyllis Sikorski, her devoted sister, Pauline Davi who made sure Louise's end of life care was the best possible, and sister-in-law, Joan Davi. Louise was blessed with a big family, having 13 nephews and nieces and 17 great nephews and nieces and many cousins that loved her deeply. Louise was also preceded in death by her beloved parents, Michael and Filomena Davi, loving spouse and father to their daughter, Michael Sikorski, brother-in-law, Anthony Sikorski, brothers, Gabriel Davi and Salvatore Davi, and sisters, Mary (Davi) DeMania & Rose (Davi) Fleddermen.
In life Louise was a greatly independent woman, she was a dedicated employee that worked for the City of Schenectady School District as Lunch Attendant and Teacher’s Aid. Louise also worked at the former Mica Company in Schenectady where she was a Female Production line worker. Louise was also a devoted and religious member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Schenectady, where she was a member of the Women’s Society. Louise was also a member of Niskayuna Senior Center where she had many friends and loved to play card games.
Louise was a beloved wife, and dedicated mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Louise was loved by her family and will be greatly missed for years to come. Rest in peace. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.

A viewing will be held Wednesday May 15th from 9 to 10:30AM at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant Street, Schenectady, NY 12303 followed by interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady. A celebration of life will be held at the Fort Hunter FD, 3525 Carmen Road Schenectady, NY 12303. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please consider making a donation to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Louise Sikorski.
