Scotia – Louise “Jean” Eplite Pizzino, 87, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday December 23, 2017. Born in Giovinazzo, Bari, Italy, she migrated to the United States in 1939. On May 13, 1951 she married her husband, Joseph F. Pizzino who passed away in 1983. Raising her family and being with her extended family became her greatest joy. She is survived by her three children: David (Antoinette) Pizzino of Myrtle Beach, SC, Davia (Dennis) Dymond of Clifton Park, and Denise Pizzino-Prieur (Brian) of Ontario, Canada. Eight grandchildren: Julia (Steve) Schlegel, Christina (Adam) Catalano, Joshua (Jillian) Prieur, Zachary Dymond, Monica (Paul) Cianfrini, Sarah Pizzino, Jeremy Prieur, and Maria Pizzino. Three great grandchildren: Tyson Johannson, Jack Prieur, and Mila Cianfrini. Her four siblings: Grace (Dom) Fallacaro of Hudson Falls; Michael Eplite of New Smyrna, FL; Jennie McCadden of Schenectady; and Gaetano “Guy” (Jean) Eplite of Milford, Mass. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin 10 am Friday at the funeral home followed by an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie.
