Schenectady – Louise Otis Morin, 98, of Kingsway Community died on October 11, 2016. She was born in Lake Placid, the daughter of Sheldon and Agnes Fox Otis and was educated at Lake Placid schools and attended Syracuse University. Louise was predeceased by her parents, her five younger siblings and her husband, Camille in 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Mary and son-in-law, Peter of Guilderland, treasured grandsons, David (Lisa) of Rochester, Stephen (Sean) of Williamsburg, MA and great grandsons, Benjamin (Elizabeth), Thomas and Zachary. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was so proud of all her families’ accomplishments. Louise worked many years at Adirondack Gardens in Lake Placid and after moving to Schenectady in 1971, she worked at two downtown jewelers, Bickelman’s and Jay Jewelry. Upon retirement she assisted her husband, Camille in the Morin Piano Service. Throughout her long life she was always interested and well informed of national politics and world events. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and writing delightful letters and notes. The family wants to extend their gratitude to both Kingsway Garden apartments and to Kingsway Nursing Home for their kindness and good care to Louise and her family. Per Louise’s wishes there will be a private funeral service at the convenience of the family.
