Louis G Parente

Schenectady - Mr. Louis G. Parente, age 93, formerly of Schenectady, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023. He was born Sept. 28, 1929 in Poultney, VT, son of the late Louis and Rosa Parente. Louis loved to dance, and enjoyed writing and singing songs. Above all else, Louis was a proud and generous man, always taking care of the needs of his loved ones. Survivors include his daughters, Rosemary Burke (John) of Florida and Ann Ando (Mark) of Schenectady; grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) Evans, Joanna Barber, Jeanine O’Connor, Lisa LaFond and Patrick O’Connor (fiancé Megan); four great grandchildren, Gabriel, Alexandra, Jeremy and Taylor. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. A memorial service will take place on Wed., March 29, 2023 commencing at 10 am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam with Pastor Kevin Rogers of Open Arms Church, officiating. Visitation will take place also on Wednesday, March 29th from 9-10 am, at the funeral home. Procession will follow to St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville, where interment will take place.
