Louis C Forte Jr

Guilderland- Louis C. Forte Jr. 79, of Schoolcraft Street passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2016 after a short illness. He was born in Rensselaer NY on January 27, 1937 a son of the Louis Sr. and Marie Roulf Forte. Louis served in the United States Navy during Korea and was honorably discharge in 1962. He was a member of the Guilderland Elks, the Voorheesville American Legion where he served as commander twice the last being in 2015. Louis is survived by his children, son Brian Forte, daughter Pamella and her husband Shane Chura 10 grandchildren Adam, Jessica, Kelsie, Tracy, Kristen, Nicholas, Courtney, Timothy, Taylor, Zachary and one great granddaughter; Danika. He is also survived by his brothers Thomas, Edward and Kenneth Forte. Louis was predeceased by his beloved wife Carole in 2012. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service with full military honors on TuesdayMay 3 , 2016 at the Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville NY at 1:30 PM. Please arrive promptly at 1 pm if you are attending. A gathering of family and friends will follow after the burial at the Voorheesville American Legion. The family respectfully requests that no flowers be sent. A memorial donation may be made in Louis Memory to the Voorheesville American Legion.
