Louis DeMarco, 91, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at his residence in Wilton. Born in Schenectady, Louis was the son of the late Giustino and Ida (DiTommaso) DiMarco. Louis honorably served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He was the founder and co-owner of DeMarco-Nasters Electric in Schenectady, working there for 38 years until his retirement in 2001. He also served on the Board of the Electrical Examiner for the City of Schenectady for 20 years. A communicant of Mt. Carmel Church, Louis was a member of their Men's Society, the Holy Names Society and the Seniors group. He was a former Pop Warner football coach for 8 years and was a member of the VFW #05294. Louis was a diehard NY Giants fan. He is predeceased by his siblings, Dina Ferrucci, Alex DeMarco and Lee Micalizzi. Louis leaves behind his beloved wife, Delores (Fernandez) DeMarco, his loving son, Robert DeMarco and wife Linda of Saratoga Springs, 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rebecca and great grandchildren, Ethan, Madelyn, Kaelyn and Cassidy. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, March 16th at 10:15am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mt. Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant St., Schenectady, following the prayer service at 11am. Calling hours will be Tuesday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment with military honors will be at St. Cyril and Method Cemetery, Rotterdam. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louis' name can be made to the Home of the Good Shepherd Angel Fund, 60 Waller Rd.
