Lou-Ann (Fountain) Mugits

Duanesburg –Lou-Ann Mugits, 67, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday September 22, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Schenectady, Lou-Ann was a 1973 graduate of Schalmont High School. After retiring from G.E. Lou-Ann went on to work with special needs children at the New Meadow pre-school in Scotia. She will be remembered for her love of the Beatles, her dogs, casinos and going to motorcycle races with her family. She is survived by high school sweetheart and husband of 47 years, Martin; her daughter, Christal Carson; her son, Kyle Mugits; her brother-in-law James Mugits who she raised as one of her own and her grandchildren Cody & Colton whom she adored and could do no wrong. Lou-Ann is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers & sisters-in-law. She was predeceased by her father, Ronald Fountain. The family extends their special thanks to Community Hospice especially her nurses. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-6pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.
