Lottie J (Stomski) Tessitore

Rotterdam -Lottie J. Tessitore, 93, passed away on Saturday. May 30, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Schenectady, NY on February 22, 1922, daughter of the late Eleanor and William Stomski.Loving wife of 65 years and "sweetheart" of the late Dominic J. Tessitore. Predeceased by her son Anthony, Grandsons Dominic J. (D.J.), and Tony (To-To) Tessitore. Survived by her three children, Carol Messercola (Frankie), Nancy Tessitore, and Arthur Tessitore (Roxanne).Seven Grandchildren, Tammy Messercola Lennox (Bob), Kenny Messercola (Tracey), Marcie McGeehan (Russ), Danny Messercola (Stephanie), Aimee Morse (Josh), Carrie Danaher and Toby McCarty (Corey). Twelve Great Grandchildren, who knew and called her by "Great",Cailey, Alexa and Jessica Passer, Julia Messercola, "Gabby" and Lucas Morse, Mikaila, Mackenzie and Madison Danaher, Mason McGeehan and Andrew (A.J.) and Ethan Messercola and two step Great Granddaughters Jessica and Jenna Lennox. Lottie adored, loved and enjoyed her family and we thank you Mom for being an amazing Mother, Nana, "Great" Grandmother and friend to all.She enjoyed gardening and planting tree after tree, watching her many bird feeders and houses daily.Enjoyed cooking for her family holiday after holiday with every kind of cookie and cannoli imaginable.One of Moms favorite enjoyments was a trip to her favorite casino.She will be missed by her pet companions Gracie, Jet, Alaska and Puffin. We wish to thank the Hospice nurses, Jolene and Sue and Hospice aids, Joanne, Donna, Heidi and Cindy for their care of our Mother. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Relatives and friends are invited to join Lottie's family's celebration of her life at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2733 Albany Street at Wednesday 11:00 a.m.Burial will be Thursday at 12:30 at Saratoga National Cemetery.
