Lorraine K. Viksne

SCHENECTADY - Lorraine K. Viskne, 92, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. Lorraine was a very vibrant loving woman. She loved talking to people and would go to Saratoga every weekend and either sit on a bench in the village or go to the casino, not to gamble, but to just sit and talk with all the elderly people. Lorraine worked for General Electric Building 2 in the Canteen. Upon retiring from GE, she went to work in the cafeteria at Mohonasen School.

She was predeceased by her parents Stephen and Alice (Podgorski) Majerowski, her husband Art Viksne and her eldest son Raymond Cordy. Lorraine leaves behind two loving children Gary (Bonnie) Cordy and Gail (Jimmy) Melita; 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Monday August 7, 2023 at 12:30 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave. Schenectady and may also visit with her family prior to her service from 11 am to 12:30 pm.
