Slingerlands- Lois M. Lamphere, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2020 after a short illness. Born in Longbranch, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Conover and Bernice Files Conover. She was married to Donald R. Lamphere, and they were happily married for 56 years. As the wife of a military officer, Lois traveled around the globe living in several countries with her husband where he was stationed. She truly lived for her family and would do anything to provide for them. She loved being a mother, raising her 6 sons and ensuring the house was in order. She enjoyed going to garage sales and could always be seen carrying a book. She was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness, with a passionate strength in her faith. She is survived by her sons; Donald, David (Paula), Robert, James (Nancy), and Brian Lamphere (Quinn), several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a brand new great-granddaughter, Evelyn Charley, who she cherished. She is also survived by many loving relatives and her close friend Vivian. She is predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Bernice, her husband, Donald, and her son Michael.
