 Lisa M. Caporizzo

 August 8, 1968 – January 14, 2026

You go through life, hoping that God will send you a soulmate. I was so fortunate to find that special person that made me better and filled my life with love every single day.

On February 1, 1997 is when I first gazed my eyes upon this wonderful woman. Little did I know it would lead to the best 29 years of my life.

She had the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever met and was the strongest person I’ve ever met. She was a tiny little thing, but she had more energy than 10 people and never stopped. Lisa took care of me, all of our rescues, worked in rescue, operated two stores, and most recently took care of her mother Emily, who lived with us before going into a nursing home. And even after that, she made time every single day to spend with her mom, as busy as she was. Lisa‘s passion was always to help people and their pets however she could. She was the strength and inspiration for Pet Connection that everybody is familiar with. There are so many things that people have never known about her that someday I will share. Truly amazing stories of rescuing and helping pets that needed it the most.

Lisa, even as busy as she was, her goal was to always help me. I could not have ever done half of what I did without her. She did so much and was always planning and being sure everything was just perfect. It might be a fundraiser for pets, an adoption event, setting up a big tailgate party with bands, attending galas for animals or just taking care of our fur kids.

Lisa always wanted no one to know. She always joked that she was the person behind the scenes making things happen and she was happy with that. At the end of the day, it was all about helping pets and rescue and that’s exactly what she did.

We are very private people so nobody really knows who we’ve adopted and who we’ve saved. She did not want that to be public. That’s the way she is. All the pets in our home are rescues that most times were at the end of the line. Most were seniors, or hospice dogs that sometimes we would only have for a year, but she made every day for them the best day of their life til the end. It was amazing just to watch her and how she did that and she taught me so well. She always joked, if they weren’t over 12, they were too young for us.

The world was a better place for having Lisa in it. She made my life the best life every single day. She devoted herself to me in every single thing that we did. She was always by my side for anything that I did or if I ever needed help. We were always a team. We did everything together. I pray to God that she sends me strength from Heaven because I know she’s with the Angels and she is with Saint Francis. I know she’s up there playing with all of our dogs that have passed over the Rainbow Bridge. And of course, all the other pets that she helped find their forever homes. My Lisa was so brave in her short 10 week illness. She never cried, she never complained, she never said why me, and she did this because she wanted to be strong for me and I was trying to be strong for her. But she was always the stronger of us. She’s the one that gave me strength. I can’t wait till the day that we are together.

She is survived by her mother Emily (Walzak) Satterlee, sister Jolene Reinhardt, brothers Norman and Kenneth Satterlee, and many nieces and great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father Norman F. Satterlee Jr. and sisters Diane and Chrissy.

Till we meet again, Lisa, I love you more today than I ever have. You gave me happiness in life, that so few people truly have. You are in my heart forever and I know you will give me strength to carry on as difficult as it will be. I promise that I’ll take care of our babies. You taught me well how to do everything. They all send their love and miss you, Bella, Jewell, Tippy, Sierra, Pudding, Rue, Tess, Lucas and Kiva. I’m doing my best to be just like you, because you were always, the best.
