Linda B (Byers) Wager

Schenectady- Linda B. Wager (Byers) passed away on July 1, 2015 in West Point VA after a lengthy illness. She was born in Schenectady on January 12, 1946. Linda was employed as an LPN for 48 years. She truly loved being a nurse .She retired from the Glendale Nursing Home and while residing in VA she worked per diem at Riverside in Saluda until 2010. Linda was a member of the Local Union 721 (SEIU).She was 3rd district president and head representative. Linda also was a member of the VFW Post 1895 Rotterdam Linda is survived by her mother Beverly Noxon, her daughter Jean (Charles) Gerhard and granddaughters Lindsey and Stephanie Gerhard. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters and her best friends Bonnie and Gary Glascock of Middlesex County VA. Linda was predeceased by her husband John who passed away on June 23, 2015. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Wednesday July 8, 2015 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at St Paul's Episcopal Church Fairview Ave Schenectady on Thursday July 9 ,2015 at 10am. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery Central Avenue Colonie.
