Linda M Russell

Delanson – Linda M. Russell, 75, passed away Tuesday July 12, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Born in Schenectady, Linda graduated from Guilderland High School and retired from the New York State Department of Labor with 35 years of service. She was a member of the original Jimmie Girls softball team and a lifelong communicant of St. Madeleine Sophie Church. Linda enjoyed family activities, spending time with her nieces and nephew and attending her great nephew & niece sporting events. She also was an avid New York Yankees fan. She is survived by her mother Theresa (Borowski) Russell. Her five siblings Francis (Beverly) Russell, Diane (Hugo) McGroty, Thomas Russell, Richard Russell and Joseph Russell. Her nieces Wendy Russell, Amy Howlan and Mary Russell, her nephew Matthew Russell. Great nephew Sean Howlan and great niece Brooke Howlan. Linda is also survived by her aunts Dolores Pryszmant, Shirley Mlodzianowski, Sr. Mary Lucille CR and her uncle Robert Russell. She was predeceased by her father Royal Russell. The family extends their special thanks to Corrine & Beth from The Community Hospice and the staff at Our Lady of Mercy for the care and comfort given to Linda. Visitation will be held Monday from 9-10:30 am at St. Madeleine Sophie Church 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am. The family kindly asks that masks be worn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s name to The Community Hospice, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or St. Madeleine Sophie Church.
