Linda M (Kwiatkowski) Lunow

SCHENECTADY - Linda M. Lunow, was suddenly called to Heaven to join her mother, family and friends on February 22, 2015 at home. She was 57. Linda grew up in Schenectady, where she graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and later raised her children. She retired from the New York State Department of Tax & Finance after more than two decades. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her family, which ranged from specializing in Italian and Polish food. Her meatballs were a favorite of friends and family. In her free time she was a voracious reader, she enjoyed crocheting and writing poetry about life experiences. Her wit and sense of humor was well known to all, with a propensity for her quick comebacks. But she will be most fondly remembered for her devotion to her children and others, as she never failed to put the needs of friends, family and strangers before her own. Linda is survived by her companion Morgan Elliot; she will be dearly missed by her daughter, Jennifer Santabarbara, and her husband, Angelo, and their children, Michael and Marianna; her daughter, Katherine Maye, and her husband, Eugene Sr., and their children, Eugene Jr., Alexis, Ashante; her son, Vincenzo Dilanne, and his companion, Casey, and their children, Dezyrae, Vincenzo, Jacob and Cailynn; her daughter, Valentina Dilanne; her stepson, Danny Dilanne; her father, Edward Kwiatkowski; her brother, Robert Kwiatkowski Sr.; her sister, Margie Maryea; her brother, Paul Kwiatkowski; the father of her children, Claudio Dilanne, and his wife, Jennifer; and her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Florence Polinski. Viewing hours will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam, immediately followed by a 1 p.m. service.
