Linda L Ferri

May 10, 1905 — July 11, 1905

Rotterdam- Linda L. Ferri, 62, lost her battle with cancer on Friday, November 1, 2019. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Schenectady to Charles A. Viscusi, Jr. and Dorothy A. Viscusi. She was happily married to Tom Ferri for 41 years. She attended Draper High School and Spencer Business School. After graduating, she began working as a Secretary for G.E. in the Naval Nuclear Program. She then took time away from work to start a family. After raising her children, she went to work for The Golub Corporation until her retirement. She was an active member of an online Scleroderma support group where she made many friends around the world who also battled with the disease. Linda always made her family and home her first priority. She cared deeply for her family and loved spending time with each and every one of them. She was very loyal to family and friends alike, and would stay by their side through any difficult time. She was outgoing and talkative, never afraid to say exactly what was on her mind. She loved spending time with her mother, and would often tell stories of her. She enjoyed traveling and going on vacations with her friends, playing Farmville with her large group of online friends, and having lazy days with her cats, also known as "PJ Kitty Day". She also cherished the time spent with her dog and companion, Brutis. She will be forever missed by her loving husband, Thomas Ferri, her children; Edward (Danielle) Ferri, and Lisa Marie, many loving friends and relatives, and her three cats. Along with her parents, Charles and Dorothy, she is predeceased by her brother, Edward Viscusi, and her faithful friend and companion, Brutis. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 4-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Schenectady NY 12306. Funeral Services will begin at 10am on Friday, November 8, 2019 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Cyril’s Cemetery in Rotterdam. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Lee Shapiro for his care and compassion when treating Linda's Scleroderma for over 15 years. The family requests any donations to be made in Linda’s name to the Steffens Scleroderma Research Foundation, PO Box 38037, Albany, NY 12203.
