Linda DeLorenzo, 60, of Schenectady, passed away at Ellis Hospital on October 7, 2015 surrounded by family and friends after fighting a 20 year long battle with liver disease and a 3 year battle with lung cancer which spread to her bones in the last few months. Linda was born in Schenectady, graduated from Linton High School in 1973 and received her nursing degree from the Mildred Elley School. She worked as an O.R. nurse at St. Clare's HospitalandEllis Hospital for over 20 years. Linda was predeceased by her father, MichaelD'Ammasso Sr. who died in 2003. She is survived by her beloved daughters; Crystal DeLorenzo and Michele DeLorenzo, her mother; Laura D'Ammasso, her brother; MichaelD'AmmassoJr, 2 grandsons; Carmine Diegel and Giovanni Andino DeLorenzo, the love of her life for the last 16 years; Christopher Hatches, her ex-husband; Edward DeLorenzo, to whom she was married for 18 years, and her best friend for over 35 years, Michael Brann. Linda was loved by many family members, co-workers and friends. She was a fighter and a strong women until the end, and her daughters hero. She will be dearly missed and loved forever. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9-11 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Glenville.
