Linda Ann (Scarapicchia) Bernardi

Niskayuna – Linda Ann (Scarapicchia) Bernardi, 70, passed away at home on Thursday June 30, 2022 after a tough fight for 3 years with ovarian cancer. Born in Oceanside, Long Island Linda was the daughter of Michael and Sophia FioreScarapicchia. She graduated in 1969 from the Valley Stream Central High School. Linda lived in the Schenectady area for the past 36 years and worked for many of those years at the family delicatessen (Capri Imports). She was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church. Linda is survived by her husband, Paul M. Bernardi. Her five children Frank (Kerri) Brannigan, Joseph (Sara) Campbell, Michael (Adrienne) Bernardi, Donna (Joe) Brannigan Cristello and Sara (Evan) Bernardi Empey. Two sisters Judy (Rick) Rottkamp and Michele Baktis. Linda is also survived by 10 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins. Linda’s family was her crowning achievement and proved over the past 3 years to be her best medicine. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6-8 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 am Thursday at St. Anthony’s Church. Burial will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Linda’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
